The Gary Chua Foundation was officially established on 30 December 2022 and is registered with the approval of the Prime Minister’s Department of Malaysia (Jabatan Perdana Menteri). The establishment of the Foundation is guided by a clear and firm commitment to create meaningful, long-term and sustainable impact within society through consistent and structured initiatives.
The Foundation is dedicated to advancing education development, community welfare, and environmental awareness. Particular emphasis is placed on supporting orphans and underprivileged children by improving access to quality education and essential developmental resources, thereby enabling them to build a more equitable and sustainable future.
Education is recognised as a fundamental driver of social mobility and long-term transformation. In line with this belief, the Foundation continuously implements scholarship programmes, educational aid, and structured support initiatives to empower children in overcoming socio-economic barriers and realising their full potential.
The Gary Chua Foundation upholds the principle that “it is more blessed to give than to receive.” Guided by this value, the Foundation translates compassion and responsibility into structured and impactful social contributions. In addition to material assistance, the Foundation also emphasises emotional support and mentorship to ensure holistic development for beneficiaries.
This mission is rooted in the lived experience of its founder, Datuk Dr. Gary Chua, who comes from a modest background. His personal journey has provided deep insight into the challenges faced by disadvantaged communities, inspiring his continued commitment to social contribution and community empowerment.

The Gary Chua Foundation (GCF) is pleased to announce that it has received official approval from the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN) as an approved charitable institution under Section 44(6) of the Income Tax Act 1967, for a period of five (5) years.
With this approval, donations made by individuals and corporate entities to GCF are eligible for tax-deductible benefits, subject to the prevailing regulations set by LHDN.
This recognition reflects the government’s acknowledgment of GCF’s governance standards, transparency, and commitment to charitable and social welfare initiatives.
